Dr. Neven Pičuljan

Co-Founder, CEO & CTO of Aion

Dr. Neven Pičuljan is an artificial intelligence engineer, entrepreneur, and technology leader with over 10 years of experience spanning machine learning, computer vision, natural language processing, and applied AI research and development.

He is the Founder and CEO of Pičuljan Technologies d.o.o., an AI R&D consultancy based in Zagreb, Croatia. He designed and delivered end-to-end machine learning systems for clients across healthcare, e-commerce, real estate, finance, and insurtech, combining hands-on engineering with research-driven development to build reliable, scalable, production-ready AI.

A core focus of his research, and the basis of his PhD, is the creation of high-quality training datasets, including data collection pipelines, annotation workflows, and label quality assurance. At Pičuljan Technologies, he has also developed tooling for data collection, labeling, and QA to improve dataset reliability and downstream model performance. He received a PhD in Computer Science in 2025 and has authored peer-reviewed research published in international journals and conferences.

He co-founded Aion Longevity Ltd, a London-based technology company applying machine learning and data-driven insights to optimize wellbeing and longevity. Under his leadership, Aion developed a platform that integrates wearable data, lab results, and longitudinal wellbeing signals to support personalized longevity analytics.
