Philipp Gut, MD

Adult Health Lead, Nestlé Research

Dr. Philipp Gut is the Global Lead for Adult Health Research at Nestlé. Following Academic work in Healthy Longevity at the University of California and the Gladstone Institutes in San Franscisco, Philipp joined Nestlé R&D in Switzerland where he held positions as Department Head for Natural Bioactives Discovery, Data Sciences and Precision Nutrition prior to assuming the current role.
The Adult Health research program fuels global innovation pipelines across Nestlé’s consumer and patient care brands, addressing a broad range of unmet medical needs through nutrition-based prevention and disease management. Strategic areas include Healthy Longevity, Women’s Health and Medical Nutrition, leveraging molecular epidemiology, biomarkers, food biotechnologies, and clinical nutrition research. A recent translation example includes Nestlé VITAL, a global range of science-backed nutritional drinks designed to address nutrient gaps and slow root causes of aging.
